Substantially people deemed that earth had flaying cars in 2020, why still we do not have? Does flaying car be an impossible dream? How long engineers are working on this stunning technology? Let's endeavor to sort these doubts.

Commencing from, how old this concept actually is? By and large people believes that this futuristic concept came in 1985, when a flaying car was seen in a movie titled, ‘Back To The Future’. But the reality is altogether diametrical. Concept of building a hybrid car/plane vehicle is approximately as old as the car. In the early twentieth century, engineers sought to constitute a flaying car. Yes, you read it right. In 1917, Curtiss Autoplane was launched by Glenn Curtiss. It was a car, capable of flaying. But because of the war situation, military Planes were the need of time. Due to priorities of people, the car did not capture the coveted recognition. Nonetheless, the car did not carry off a full flight but it enlightened man with new fascinating idea.

In 1946, Robert Edison Fulton flabbergasted the world with his Airphibian. Fulton Airphibian was manufactured in 1946 and was successfully tested in 1947. In 1950, Federal Aviation Administration conceded clearance to Fulton Airphibian. After acquiring permit, Fulton Airphibian officially became first flaying car. Lamentably, Fulton Airphibian never descried in the market and company collapsed in 1954.

Every passing minute is revolutionizing car and aviation technologies. The concept of flaying cars has also evolved by the time. Engineers are working on VTOL cars, a car having vertical takeoff and landing ability. These cars will be more or less like a roadable helicopter. In 2019, European safety aviation released conditions for VTOLs cars. It is surely an assentation. Many car makers are know looking forward for VTOLs and eVTOLs car. Recently MG Presented the concept of VTOL car, Toyota invested approximately 400 million in flaying car industry and Porsche is working on luxury flaying cars. A Japanese car maker Skye drive unveiled a flaying car in 2020.

If flaying cars are physically possible, why they are not being sold commercially? It is because, our traffic and ecosystem can not bear urban air mobility. Imagine hundreds of cars flaying 300 meters above from the roads, making unbearable noise and flaying through the courtyards of our houses. Can we afford this? How will we implement traffic rules in the sky? These are the questions; engineers are unable to answer. Elon Musk, arguably the icon of futuristic ideas, is also hesitant about flaying cars, he openly opposed the idea of flaying cars. For him it is kind of unattainable, undoable and to some extent a brainless idea.

Do we really need flaying cars? We really do not require an amalgam of two antipodean vehicles. A plane retaliates gravity, while a car finds friction with torque.

Uber and Joby aviation are working in a partnership, reportedly both will be able to sale air taxi service in 2023. Still it appears impossible to regularize urban air mobility. If we thoroughly monitor the situation, it is well-nigh impossible to have commercial flaying car in near future. We can conclude that flaying car is a reality but urban air mobility is still a dream.
